An orthopedic device comprises a hinge assembly including: a first hinge arm having a first longitudinal axis, and defining a first end portion having a first opening defining a first axis so the first hinge arm is pivotable about the axis； a second hinge arm having a second longitudinal axis, and defining a second end portion having a second opening defining a second axis and the second hinge arm is pivotable about the second axis. When the first and second longitudinal axes are coaxial, the second opening is arranged along a third longitudinal axis parallel to the first and second longitudinal axes and offset by a distance. The orthopedic device includes additional features including frame components and liner, contoured and formed geometrically with materials providing an improved fit.
