The filter (42) has a body (30) including an internal housing (35). An input orifice (33) and an output orifice (34) arranged in the body allow introduction of gas i.e. anesthesia, into the housing via the input orifice, and to allow output of internal gas of the housing via the output orifice. A filtration element (42c) is arranged in the housing, and the orifices are located on both sides of the element. The filtration element includes a ceramic porous membrane having a thickness lower or equal to 200 micrometers, and includes pores whose diameter is lower or equal to 100 Nm. An independent claim is also included for a patient ventilation installation.L'invention concerne un filtre bactériologique (42) comprenant un corps (30) de filtre comprenant un logement interne (35), un orifice d'entrée (33) et un orifice de sortie (34) aménagés dans le corps de filtre (30) de manière à permettre une introduction d'un gaz dans le logement interne (35) via l'orifice d'entrée (33) et une sortie du gaz dudit logement interne (35) via l'orifice de sortie (34), et un élément de filtration (42c) agencé dans le logement interne (35), les orifices d'entrée (33) et de sortie (34) étant situés de part et d'autre dudit élément de filtration (42c). Selon l'invention, l'élément de filtration (42c) comprend une membrane poreuse en céramique ayant une épaisseur inférieure ou égale à 200 µm et comprenant des pores dont le diamètre est inférieur ou égal à 100 nm.
