PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a barrel washing system and a barrel washing method, which can perform the decision of goodness or not of a barrel container promptly and precisely in the washing and sterilization of the inside of the barrel container.SOLUTION: A barrel washing system according to the invention is a barrel washing system 1 for washing and sterilizing a barrel container while transporting the barrel container along a transportation route 10A.
