PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To support a rescuer by providing adequate information on whether or not lifesaving action is required while considering the privacy of a patient.SOLUTION: A light emitting unit 21 emits light for irradiating the body of a patient 100. A light receiving unit 22 outputs a signal corresponding to an intensity of light transmitted through or reflected from the body of the patient 100. A pulsation rate acquisition unit 32 acquires a pulsation rate of the patient 100 by analyzing an amplitude of the signal. A pulsation determination unit 33 determines on the basis of the pulsation rate whether or not a pulsation of the patient 100 is present.
