PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for transferring two or more glycosyltransferase genes to an organism (including animal, plant and microbial cells) and extending sugar chain modification of lipid and protein, concretely, to obtain a recombinant plant body capable of producing ceramide trihexoside and to provide a method for producing ceramide trihexoside by using the plant. SOLUTION: A plant expression vector having ORF of human or animal-derivedα1,4-galactosyltransferase gene (α1,4GT) is constructed, the vector is transferred to tobacco by a gene recombination technique of a plant to prepare a transformed tobacco and ceramide trihexoside is synthesized by using the transformed tobacco.
