The present invention relates to an apparatus for removing the outer skin of a fruit tree which peels off the outer skin of a fruit tree to prevent the fruit tree from blight caused by harmful insects living in the outer skin. The apparatus comprises: a main body having a handle with an on/off switch a driving unit including a motor operated by the control of the switch, a plurality of gears interlocking according to the operation of the motor, and a rotary shaft rotating by the operation of the gears and arranged inside the main body an outer skin removing unit coupled to the rotary shaft of the driving unit to operate and peeling off the outer skin of a fruit tree and an escape preventing member coupled to the end of the rotary shaft protruding toward the outside of the main body with a screw thread so as to prevent an escape of the outer skin removing unit mounted on the rotary shaft. The apparatus is easy to move to a workplace due to the simple constitution, and is simple to use as a worker can hold the apparatus with one hand to use.
