PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a medical image processing device, method and program to add a label to a vertebra included in an image even in the image which includes only a portion of the vertebra.SOLUTION: A determination part 22 determines whether a first medical image V1 of a subject includes at least one between at least a portion of a vertebra of an upper end part and at least a portion of a vertebra of a lower end part. When the determination is denied, an image acquisition part 21 acquires a second medical image V2 in which a label of the vertebra of the subject can be recognized.
