PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cultivation method for a petroselinic acid-producing plant excellent in productivity of petroselic acid and to provide a method for producing petroselic acid, excellent in productivity. SOLUTION: This cultivation method for the petroselic acid-producing plant comprises a process of cutting off lateral branch flowers and/or top flowers leaving at least one first lateral branch flower of the petroselic acid-producing plant, and a process of raising the petroselic acid-producing plant from which lateral branch flowers and/or top flowers are cut off.
