The soft material retractor includes at least two soft actuators. Each actuator has at least one pressurizable internal space and has a first flexible resting state and a second curing pressurizing state. The soft material retractor includes a flexible sheet. The flexible sheet extends across the two soft actuators so that the two soft actuators can be spaced apart from each other. The predetermined distance is selected to move a predetermined volume of material comprising the body cavity.
