PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical observation apparatus and medical observation system, miniaturized, having high durability to a high-load sterilizing means such as an autoclave, and detecting optical parameters such as a focal distance and magnification of an observation optical system.
SOLUTION: This medical observation apparatus includes: an observation part 11 including an observation optical system 12 at least one optical parameter movable part 13 configured to be movable in the observation part and changing at least one optical parameter a first magnetic information means 14 configured to generate a magnetic field or to detect a magnetic field and disposed to shift in synchronization with a change of an optical parameter by the optical parameter movable part a second magnetic information means 15 configured to detect the magnetic field generated by the first magnetic information means or to generate a magnetic field toward the first magnetic information means and an optical parameter detection means for detecting an optical parameter according to the information on the magnetic field detected through the first or second magnetic information means.
