PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope apparatus where the insertability of an insertion part can be improved even when insertion is difficult such as when a subject is long or has a bent part.
SOLUTION: The endoscope apparatus 1 is provided with the insertion part 4 which includes a distal end constitution part arranged at a distal end part and provided with an observation mechanism, and the endoscope apparatus 1 is used by inserting the insertion part 4 into the subject Q. The insertion part 4 has a vibration means 5 which generates vibration in a range closer to the proximal end side than the distal end constitution part. The vibration means 5 generates the vibration in the length direction of the insertion part 4 or in a direction orthogonal to the length direction of the insertion part 4.
