Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Pelargonsaure-Formulierung in Form einer Öl-in-Wasser-Emulsion und deren Verwendung zur Bekämpfung von unerwünschtem Pflanzenwuchs. Die erfindungsgemäße herbizide Pelargonsäure-Formulierung enthält: a) Pelargonsäure oder ein Gemisch aliphatischer C6-C10-Carbonsäuren mit einem Pelargonsäureanteil von wenigstens 80 Gew.-%, bezogen auf das Gesamtgewicht des Gemischs, als Komponente A b) wenigstens ein organisches Lösungsmittel als Komponente B, das unter Standardbedingungen eine Wasserlöslichkeit unterhalb 1 g/l und bei Standarddruck einen Siedepunkt oberhalb 130 °C aufweist c) wenigstens eine oberflächenaktive Substanz als Komponente C, die ausgewählt ist unter Verbindungen der Formel (I) worin n für 0 oder 1 steht, R1 für einen linearen oder verzweigten C6-C22-Alkylrest oder für einen linearen oder verzweigten C6-C22-Alkenylrest steht und R2 und R3 unabhängig voneinander für Wasserstoff oder eine C1-C4-Alkylgruppe stehen d) wenigstens ein nichtionisches Tensid als Komponente D, das ausgewählt ist unter Substanzen, die wenigstens eine Poly-C2-C4-oxyalkylen-Gruppe aufweisen wenigstens eine Aminosäure als Komponente E mit einem isoelektrischen Punkt im Bereich von 5 bis 7 und f) Wasser.The invention relates to a pelargonic acid formulation in the form of an oil-in-water emulsion, and to the use thereof for treating undesired plant growth.
