PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical probe capable of being used stably even in bent state.SOLUTION: An optical probe 10 comprises an optical fiber 11, a deflecting element 13, and a protective tube 16. The optical fiber 11 includes: a filament made of circular glass of a first diameter and transmitting light between a proximal end and a distal end thereof and a resin layer covering side faces of the filament excluding a portion extending from the distal end a predetermined length left uncovered by the resin layer. The deflecting element 13 is made of circular glass of a second diameter larger than the first diameter, connected with the optical fiber 11, and has an end-face having a normal vector which forms an angle larger than the critical total reflection angle relative to the central axis. The distal-end protective tube 16 surrounds a portion having a predetermined length of the optical fiber 11 and the entire length of the deflecting element 13 and is adhered to the side faces of the deflecting element 13, wherein the inner diameter of the part covering the optical fiber 11 is smaller than that of the part covering the deflecting element 13.COPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT【課題】屈曲状態でも安定して使用が可能な光プローブを提供する。【解決手段】光プローブ10は、光ファイバ11、光偏向素子13、保護チューブ16を備える。光ファイバ11は、第一の直径を有する円形状であるガラスで構成され近位端と遠位端との間で光を伝送する線条体と、線条体の側面を被覆する樹脂層とを含み、線条体の遠位端から所定の長さの部分が樹脂層で被覆されていない。光偏向素子13は、第一の直径より大きい第二の直径を有する円形状であるガラスで構成され、光ファイバ11と接続され、中心軸に対して全反射臨界角より大きい角度を成す法線ベクトルを有する端面を有する。遠位端チューブ16は、光ファイバ11の所定の長さの部分および光偏向素子13の全長を包囲し、光偏向素子13の側面に密着し、光ファイバ11を被覆する部分の内径が光偏向素子13を被覆する部分の内径より小さい。【選択図】図2
