To provide an absorbent article where grooves or the like formed on an absorber are hard to crash and flexibility of the absorber can be secured.SOLUTION: An absorbent article has a liquid-permeable top sheet, a liquid-non-permeable back sheet, and an absorber provided between both sheets, and has a prescribed length in a back and forth direction and a prescribed width in the direction orthogonal to the back and forth direction. The absorber is provided with a groove or slit extending in the back and forth direction. The absorber has a first absorber layer on the top sheet side and a second absorber layer on the back sheet side. The first absorber layer has a high rigidity part extending from the groove or the edge part of the slit to the outside in the width direction.
