The invention relates to a modified release pharmaceutical composition incapsules with coated microspheres, combining two active ingredients withradically differentplasma concentration times, namely a muscle relaxant (tizanidine) and a non-steroidalanti-inflammatory drug (meloxicam), and pharmaceutically acceptable excipientsor vehicles； as wellas a method for producing the composition and the use of said combination forthe preparationof a drug having synergic therapeutic effect in the treatment of spasticity,disorders related tothe skeletal muscle and/or muscular ailments, and moderate to severe pain ingeneral.
