PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently remove radioactive materials from contaminated bottom sludge, thereby reducing the volume of objects contaminated with radioactive materials.SOLUTION: A radioactive material removing apparatus 100 removes radioactive materials adhering to bottom sludge underwater in a dammed water area where water is dammed. The apparatus comprises: a storage tank 110 having a transmission part (opening 110a) through which light is transmitted from the outside to the inside aquatic plants 120 that is housed in the storage tank 110, perform photosynthesis with light transmitted through the opening 110a, and take radioactive materials a bottom sludge introducing part 130 for taking out contaminated bottom sludge CM to which the radioactive materials have adhered, from the dammed water area, to introduce it into the storage tank 110 and a bottom sludge returning part 180 for taking out decontaminated bottom sludge PM from which the radioactive materials have been removed, due to that the aquatic plants 120 have taken the radioactive materials, from the storage tank 110, to return it to the water bottom.COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT【課題】汚染底泥から放射性物質を効率よく除去することで、放射性物質に汚染された物を減容化する。【解決手段】堰き止められた水域である堰止水域における水底の底泥に付着した放射性物質を除去する放射性物質除去装置100は、外部から内部へ光を透過させる透過部(開口110a)を有する収容槽110と、収容槽110に収容され、開口110aが透過した光で光合成を行うとともに放射性物質を取り込む水生植物120と、放射性物質が付着した底泥である汚染底泥CMを堰止水域から取り出して収容槽110に導入する底泥導入部130と、水生植物120が放射性物質を取り込むことで、放射性物質が除去された底泥である浄化底泥PMを収容槽110から取り出して水底に返送する底泥返送部180と、備える。【選択図】図2
