PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To start a brain wave interface by using a users brain wave signal.SOLUTION: The brain wave interface system has a brain wave measuring section for measuring the users brain wave signal and a plurality of instruments. Each instrument has a function control section for generating function control signals to control functions of the instrument and an output section for outputting the function control signals. The starting unit specifies the instrument which presents a visual stimulus based on P200 component of an event related potential originating from a timing of receiving a decision trigger, from among the brain wave signal obtained by the brain wave measuring section. The decision trigger is information for indicating the timing of presenting the visual stimulus for any instrument.
