A low-frequency electric therapy apparatus is provided with: a pair of pads 300 and 300 each of which can change the position and the area of an energizing area; and a wave form generation and output portion 250 which applies a treating current between an energizing area of one pad 300 and that of the other pad 300. While the wave form generation and output portion 250 outputs the treating current, the output portion 250 produces a kneading stimulus or a rubbing stimulus by changing the position and/or the area of the energizing area of at least one pad. Thereby, there is provided a low frequency electric therapy apparatus having a simple configuration which may produce more similar bodily sensation to that of "kneading", and "rubbing" performed by a person, and has excellent convenience.
