A low-frequency electric therapy apparatus is provided with: a pair of pads 300 and 300 each of which is capable of changing the area of an energizing area； and a wave form generation and output portion 250 which applies a treating current between an energizing area of one pad 300 and that of the other pad 300. A wave form generation and output portion 250 makes a difference in the area of an energizing area between two pads 300 so that a bodily sensation at the pad having a smaller area is more intense than that at the pad having a larger area. Thereby, there may be produced a clear difference in the bodily sensation between the two pads.
