The present invention holds the body position of a patient or an examinee to be stable when undergoing a medical procedure. This body position holding implement for medical use has a mat 1 and a core material. The mat 1 comprises an airtight bag 2 and a cushion layer 3. The airtight bag 2 serves as a cover for the mat 1 for supporting the position of a human body, has gas barrier properties, and has a discharge valve for expelling air attached thereto. The cushion layer 3 is a laminate of a granular material P loaded in the airtight bag 2.
