A flexible, bendable organic decalcified or partially decalcified bone, cortical or cancellous, adapted for use in augmentation or repair of animal skeletal structures comprising a continuous plate or sheet of natural bone, as well as dermis is described. The thickness, flexibility and tensile strength of the construct is such as to allow it to be shaped and contoured without damage to it. The composition is ultimately remodeled by the body, thus obviating the need for additional surgical intervention. The clinical indications for the use of the invented construct are many, but are particularly prominent in dentistry, oral and maxillofacial surgery and implantology. It is particularly useful in the maxillary sinus augmentation. A unique new method, different from previously described methods for the preparation of the disclosed constructs, is described.La présente invention concerne un os organique cintrable et flexible, décalcifié ou partiellement décalcifié, cortical ou spongieux, adapté à être utilisé dans laugmentation ou la réparation de structures squelettiques animales comprenant une plaque ou feuille continue dos naturel, ainsi que le derme. Lépaisseur, la flexibilité et la résistance à la traction de la construction sont telles quelles permettent la conception et le contournage de la construction sans lendommager. La composition est finalement remodelée par le corps, supprimant ainsi la nécessité dune intervention chirurgicale supplémentaire. Les indications cliniques pour lutilisation de la construction selon linvention sont nombreuses, mais sont particulièrement remarquables en dentisterie, en chirurgie orale et maxillo-faciale et en implantologie. Linvention est particulièrement utile dans laugmentation du sinus maxillaire. Linvention concerne un procédé nouveau et unique, différent des procédés précédemment décrits, pour la préparation des constructions décrites.
