The present invention pertains to a liquid nutritional composition comprising fat and proteinaceous matter, wherein said fat contributes for at least 41 En% and said proteinaceous matter contributes for at least 23 En% to the total energy content of said composition, for mitigating, attenuating or preventing an acute inflammatory response during or after surgery of a patient undergoing said surgery, wherein said composition is to be administered to said patient by intra-operative tube feeding,as well as to specific liquid nutritional compositions, suitable for use as a tube feed,and especially for mitigating, attenuating or preventing an acute inflammatory response during or after surgery of a patient.Cette invention concerne une composition nutritionnelle liquide comprenant des lipides et des protéines, les lipides représentant au moins 41 % et les protéines au moins 23 % de lapport énergétique total de la composition, ladite composition permettant de réduire, datténuer ou de prévenir la réponse inflammatoire aiguë chez un patient à loccasion dune intervention chirurgicale ou suite à celle-ci, ladite composition devant être administrée au patient par sonde entérale en peropératoire.
