The present invention relates to a novel use of Nardostachys jatamansi (NJ), more specifically relates to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating chronic pancreatitis which includes an extract of Nardostachys jatamansi as an active ingredient or a food composition for preventing or improving chronic pancreatitis. The composition of the present invention effectively suppresses chronic pancreatitis induced by caerulein and ethanol, and thus can be effectively used in preventing and treating chronic pancreatitis.La présente invention concerne une nouvelle utilisation de Nardostachys jatamansi (NJ), plus spécifiquement une composition pharmaceutique pour prévenir et traiter la pancréatite chronique qui comprend un extrait de Nardostachys jatamansi en tant que substance active ou composition alimentaire pour prévenir ou améliorer la pancréatite chronique. La composition de la présente invention supprime efficacement la pancréatite chronique induite par la caéruléine et l'éthanol, et peut donc être efficacement utilisée dans la prévention et le traitement de la pancréatite chronique.본 발명은 감송향 (Nardostachys jatamansi NJ)의 신규한 용도에 관한 것으로, 보다 상세하게는 감송향 추출물을 활성성분으로 포함하는 만성 췌장염의 예방 및 치료용 약학적 조성물 또는 만성 췌장염 예방 및 개선용 식품 조성물에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 조성물은 세룰레인 및 에탄올에 의해서 유발되는 만성 췌장염을 효과적으로 억제하므로 만성 췌장염의 예방 및 치료를 위하여 효과적으로 사용될 수 있다.
