PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a horticultural material equipped with air permeability and water holding capacity without imparting natural feeling and can provide an environment suitable for growth of roots in adhering an epiphyte such as orchid, and a method for manufacturing thereof.SOLUTION: A board for adhesion 1 being an example of horticultural material is formed in the size of length 100 mm×width 100 mm, and in a tabular shape with the thickness of approximately 18 mm. A large number of wood chips 2 which are an example of a long piece and constitute the board for adhesion 1 have a slender shape of a length from 5 to 6 mm. Then a large number of the wood chips 2 gather and solidify with each other, and the board for adhesion 1 is thus formed. The wood chips 2 support with each other by adhesion parts 4 where adjacent wood chips 2 contact, and the board for adhesion 1 is thus formed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1【課題】自然な風合いを損なうことなく通気性と保水性を備えると共に、主にランなどの着生植物を着生させる際に根の生育に適した環境を提供することができる園芸用資材及びその製造方法を提供することを目的とする。【解決手段】園芸用資材の一例である着生用ボード1は、縦100mm×横100mmの大きさで、厚みが約18mmの板状に形成されている。長尺片の一例であり、着生用ボード1を構成する多数の木片2は、長さ5~6mmの細長い形状を有する。そして、多数の木片2が集積して互いに固結し、着生用ボード1が成形される。隣接する木片2が接する接着部4により、木片2は互いに支持し、着生用ボード1が形成される。【選択図】図1
