A cutting template comprising:a top portion (200, 300) possessing at least one slit forming a desired patterna bottom portion (210, 310) comprising a recessed region (230, 330) capable of holding a surgical patch therein and centering the surgical patch under the top portion (200, 300) of the templateand the bottom portion possesses openings (240, 340) corresponding to the pattern in the top portion, the opening being provided within the recessed region allowing the surgical patch to be cut all the way through while supporting the surgical patch.
