Also disclosed are methods of preparing a curcuminoid peptide complex comprising obtaining a curcuminoid obtaining a peptide and mixing the curcuminoid and the peptide in a solvent. Also disclosed are methods of treating a subject the method comprising identifying a subject in need of treatment of a curcumin related disorder and administering to the subject a therapeutic composition comprising a curcuminoid peptide complex as described. Also disclosed are therapeutic compositions comprising a curcuminoid peptide complex as described and a pharmaceutically acceptable excipient diluent or carrier.
