601620 Disclosed are a device for crossing obstacles for a motorised vehicle such as a wheelchair and a motorised vehicle equipped with a device for crossing obstacles. A motorised vehicle which is capable of allowing good accessibility particularly in urban areas and in housing is important for a person with disabilities. The device comprises a chassis (2); wheels (3a, 3b, 3c); driving means; and a mechanism comprising arms (7a, 7b). The chassis (2) is connected to three wheels (3a, 3b, 3c), a front (3a), intermediate (3b) and rear (3c) wheel on each lateral side. The driving means is suitable for rotating the wheels (3a, 3b, 3c). Each lateral side of the chassis (2) includes a mechanism comprising arms (7a, 7b) connected about a shared pivoting axis. The wheels (3a, 3b, 3c) are distributed on the arms (7a, 7b). The mechanism allows each wheel (3a, 3b, 3c) to pivot with respect to the axis of each adjacent wheel (3a, 3b, 3c). The chassis (2) is connected to each hinged arm mechanism (7a, 7b) through two shafts mounted and freely rotating. One of the shafts is capable of compensating for the change in distance between the two shafts when the arms (7a, 7b) are not aligned.
