The invention relates to a device for crossing obstacles for a motorised vehicle made up of: a chassis (2) connected to n (n3) wheels (3a, 3b, 3c) on each side a driving means (5) suitable for rotating the wheels (3a, 3b, 3c). Said device is characterised in that each side of the chassis (2) includes a mechanism comprising n-1 arms (7a, 7b) hingedly connected two-by-two about a shared pivoting axis on which the n wheels (3a, 3b, 3c) are distributed, respectively a front wheel (3a), n-2 intermediate wheels (3b), and a rear wheel (3c), said mechanism allowing each wheel to pivot relative to the axis of each adjacent wheel.
