The present invention provides a method for improving traits in a plant, like e.g. improving yield-related traits like number of flowers, number of siliques, seed yield, stem growth in a plant, the method comprising disruption of endogenous ROCK1 gene in a plant cell, wherein said disruption inhibits expression and/or activity of a product of said endogenous ROCK1 gene compared to a corresponding control plant cell lacking such a disruption.La présente invention concerne un procédé permettant d'améliorer des traits chez une plante, tels que, p. ex., les traits relatifs au rendement comme le nombre de fleurs, le nombre de siliques, le rendement en graines, la croissance des tiges chez une plante, le procédé comprenant l'interruption du gène ROCK1 endogène dans une cellule végétale, ladite interruption inhibant l'expression et/ou l'activité d'un produit dudit gène ROCK1 endogène comparativement à une cellule végétale témoin correspondante ne présentant pas cette interruption.
