PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a clearer special light image and to secure the safety of eyes against special light in an endoscope apparatus for irradiating an observed region inside the body with special light and obtaining the special light image by receiving the light emitted from the observed region irradiated with the special light.SOLUTION: The endoscope apparatus includes: an insertion section 30 for irradiating the observed region inside the body with the special light and receiving the light emitted from the observed region irradiated with the special light and a light source section 2 having special light sources 54 and 58 which emit the special light for feeding the special light emitted from the special light sources to the insertion section 30 wherein a plurality of special light emission pathways for independently emitting the special light emitted from the special light sources 54 and 58 are provided in the light source section 2, and wherein a plurality of special light incident pathways on which the special light emitted from the plurality of special light emission pathways is independently incident are provided in the insertion section 30. The special light incident from the plurality of special light incident pathways is guided by the insertion section 30 and emitted from the distal end section to irradiate the observed region.
