PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramic for decorative parts which has a dark color tone with quietness and subduedness and hence gives a deep and high-grade feeling and a feeling of aesthetic satisfaction and to provide a decorative part for watches, a decorative part for potable terminals, a decorative part for fishing-line guides, a decorative part for living, a decorative part for automotive goods, a decorative part for sporting goods, a decorative part for musical instruments and a decorative part for ornaments using the ceramic.SOLUTION: A ceramic for decorative parts comprises stabilizer-containing zirconia as a main component, iron oxide, a chromium oxide, and aluminum oxide. Because zirconia and aluminum oxide, which have a white color, have been combined with the iron oxide which has a red color or black color depending on the degree of oxidation, and with the chromium oxide which has a green color, the ceramic for the decorative parts has a brownish or greenish dark color tone with quietness and subduedness.
