The medium has a rectangular parallelepiped shaped cultivation block (1) including horizontal grooves (10), where the medium is made of vegetable material. The grooves are provided on one of large upper and lower horizontal surfaces for contacting a root system of plants. Each horizontal groove is opened at one of its two ends. The cultivation block is arranged in a bag (2), and the horizontal grooves emerge from vertical grooves (11). The surfaces of the block and surfaces of the grooves are covered by a latex layer. The cultivation block is made of a mixture of fiber and coconut debris.
