The present disclosure provides methods for constructing the probes as well as an imaging probe having a rotatable core that allows rotation of a larger imaging assembly in diameter than the lumen in which the rotatable core resides. Imaging probes are typically elongated flexible imaging catheters for use in cardiovascular surgery.
