HSPs (chaperones or heat-shock proteins) have two very valuable characteristics that can be productively exploited in a specific manner in order to “intelligently” manipulate the immune response so as to treat “conformational” disorders or “proteinopathies”:the classic chaperone functions thereof andthe more recently discovered immunoactive properties thereof.On the basis thereof, the authors of the present invention have combined a peptide, a protein or a polypeptide associated with a “conformational disease” with a biologically active or functional HSP, resulting in a different immunoactive complex which is advantageous for treating the “conformational disease” in question associated with the peptide, protein or polypeptide used.
