PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reciprocation mechanism of a fishing reel in which an increase of rotation torque of the worm shaft can be suppressed even when a relatively large preload is provided to a worm shaft in the reciprocation mechanism of the fishing reel.SOLUTION: A reciprocation mechanism includes a first supporting member 24, a second supporting member 25 and a biasing member 26. A worm shaft 20 has a shaft part 20a, a first shaft support part 20b having a spherical part 20e formed in the tip in the shape of a convex spherical surface and a second shaft support part 20c. The first supporting member 24 has a first bottom 24a coming in abutment with the spherical part 20e. The second supporting member 25 has a second bottom 25a comes in abutment with the tip of the second shaft support part 20c.
