PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure acoustic matching between an ultrasonic probe and a subject without using gel.SOLUTION: An acoustic matching body 101 is attached to an ultrasonic probe 2 for performing transmission and reception of an ultrasonic wave and consists of a solid matter 106 provided with a first surface 104 brought into close contact with an ultrasonic transmission and reception surface 2a in the state of being attached to the ultrasonic probe 2 and a second surface 105 brought into contact with a subject being an object of ultrasonic transmission and reception by the ultrasonic probe 2. The solid matter 106 is formed of material which is brought into contact with the subject on the second surface 105 and applied on the surface of the subject with rubbing, and secures acoustic matching between the ultrasonic probe 2 and the subject.
