PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide powder compositions containing sucralfate which rapidly gelate from powder state by contacting to water and exert excellent mucosal adhesiveness even against the mucosa of an organ having a short transit time, such as oral cavity or esophagus.SOLUTION: A powder composition contains (A) sucralfate, (B) organic acid, and (C) water, the content of the component (C) being 10 to 30 mass%.
