A wafer (1) for adhesively attaching an ostomy appliance to a peristomal skin surface surrounding a stoma of a wearer of the appliance, the wafer having an integrally moulded adhesive layer (2) consisting of a moisture absorbing and swellable skin barrier material and having a substantially planar distal surface covered by a flexible backing layer (4) for attaching said wafer to a collecting bag, and a proximal bodyside surface that is covered by a release sheet (3) and is oncoutred such that the adhesive layer (2) has a relatively thin peripheral portion (9) and a relatively thick central portion (10) surrounding an aperture (11) for receiving the stoma, the central portion (10) beind distributed substantially uniformly around the aperture (11) and having a maximum thickness which is at least 2.5 mm larger than the maximum thickness of the peripheral portion (9).Cette invention se rapporte à une plaquette (1) servant à fixer de façon adhésive un accessoire dostomie à la surface de peau péristomiale entourant une ostomie dans le corps du porteur de laccessoire. Cette plaquette comporte une couche adhésive moulée solidaire (2) constituée par un matériau absorbant lhumidité et faisant barrière à la peau gonflable et comportant une surface distale essentiellement plane recouverte par une couche de fond flexible (4) servant à fixer la plaquette à un sac collecteur, et une surface proximale côté corps qui est recouverte par une feuille anti-adhésive (3) et qui est profilée pour que la couche adhésive (2) possède une partie périphérique relativement mince (9) et une partie centrale relativement épaisse (10) entourant une ouverture (11) destinée à recevoir lostomie, la partie centrale (10) étant répartie de façon essentiellement uniforme autour de louverture (11) et comportant une épaisseur maximum qui est au moins 2,5 mm plus large que lépaisseur maximum de la partie périphérique (9).
