The aeration system comprises a plurality of elongated hollow aerators and a supply conduit connected to each of the plurality of aerators. The supply conduit is connected to a blowing mechanism for receiving air there from and for providing the air to the aerators. Each aerator is disposed inside the storage bin having a substantially vertical orientation with a perforated front wall and mounted by a rear wall to an inside surface of a wall of the storage bin. An elongate perforated venting tube is disposed approximately centrally within the storage bin, the venting tube extending generally through the particulate material upwardly toward the bin roof for collecting and transmitting the air from the particulate materials and venting the same to a location external to the storage bin.
