PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel anti-tumor agent, a tumor cell proliferation inhibitor, and an anti-breast cancer agent which are derived from Euglena, and a method for manufacturing an anti-tumor agent.SOLUTION: The present invention is an anti-tumor agent, a tumor cell proliferation inhibitor, an anti-breast cancer agent, food for anti-tumor use which contain hot water extract of Euglena as an active ingredient, or a method for inhibiting a tumor (excluding medical practices to human).
