PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ridge-forming machine suitable for forming high ridges for bringing quality of farm products in cultivating the farm product such as Welsh onion and the like to certainly whitening sheath by reducing the size of a press force transmission mechanism for transmitting a forming plate drive, and preventing collapse of the upper side of the ridge with efficiently using the power of the forming plate drive.SOLUTION: The ridge-forming machine includes a rotor 3 for leaping up culture soil by plowing furrows between the ridges onto the slopes of the ridges and the forming plate 5 for pressing the slopes of the ridges including the leaped up culture soil is provided. The forming plate 5 has a length extending from the halfway part of the slope of the ridge toward the upper side and its lower part is supported by a hinge 9 at the machine body 1.
