PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new blood glucose level elevation inhibitor having an &alpha-amylase inhibiting action.SOLUTION: The new &alpha-amylase inhibitor includes, as the active ingredient, at least one selected from theasinensins and epitheaflavic acids, and has high versatility to be widely applicable to food and drink, medicine, quasi-drug, health food, and nutritional supplement.
