PURPOSE: A rice cake producing apparatus capable of easily cleaning or sterilizing is provided to use high-pressure steam for rapidly and instantly cooking rice cake. CONSTITUTION: A rice cake producing apparatus comprises the following: a feed valve unit(14) selectively supplying water into a first housing； a heating device unit heating the water inside the first housing for generating steam； a steam discharging unit selectively supplying the steam outside the first housing； a rice cake cooking container unit inflowing the steam discharged from the steam discharging unit by being connected to an outlet of the steam discharging unit, for cooking rice cake ingredients； a temperature and pressure sensor(65) detecting the pressure or the temperature of the steam generated inside the first housing； a display unit(62) installed on one of first to third housings； a steam cleaner(70) bypassing the steam from the first housing； and a controller controlling the feed valve unit, the heating device unit, and the steam discharging unit.본 발명에 따른 떡 제조장치는 제1하우징 내부에 물을 공급하거나 차단하는 급수밸브부, 상기 제1하우징에 공급된 물을 가열하여 제1하우징 내부에 수증기를 발생시키는 가열장치부, 입구가 상기 제1하우징의 내부에 연결되어 상기 수증기를 제1하우징 외부로 공급하거나 차단하는 증기배출부, 상기 증기배출부에서 공급되는 수증기를 유입하여 내부에 수용된 떡재료가 조리되도록 상기 증기배출구의 출구에 연결된 떡조리용기부, 상기 제1하우징 내부의 증기를 바이패스시켜 사용하는 증기청소부, 및 상기 제1하우징 내부의 수량, 수증기의 압력 또는 수증기의 온도 중 적어도 어느 하나에 따라 상기 급수밸브부, 가열장치부 및 증기배출부의 동작을 제어하는 제어부를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다.따라서, 본 발명에 따른 떡 제조장치는 물을 가열하여 발생시킨 고압의 수증기를 이용하여 구매자의 요청이 있을 때마다 필요한 양 만큼씩 즉석에서 신속하게 떡을 조리할 수 있기 때문에 서양의 패스트푸드와 대비할 때 긴 조리시간과 미리 제조된 떡의 한정된 유통기한에 따른 종래기술의 문제점을 해결함으로써 한국 고유의 웰빙 먹거리인 떡을 일반 대중은 물론 전통적인 종래의 떡 제조기술 및 장치가 없는 외국의 수요자들에게까지도 널리 보급할 수 있다는 장점이 있다.
