Disclosed are a method and a device for registering medical images having different modalities. The method for medical image registration according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a heterogeneous image registration step of registering a reference image among a plurality of first medical images photographed during a first respiratory cycle of a subject with a second medical image； a homogeneous image registration step of registering each of the remaining first medical images, which are acquired in different respiratory states from the reference image, with the reference image； a step of generating a set of registration images between the first medical images and the second medical images for the first respiratory cycle using the results of heterogeneous image registration and homogeneous image registration； and a step of acquiring a third medical image, which is photographed after the first respiratory cycle, in real time and detecting and outputting an image corresponding to the third medical image from the set of registration images.COPYRIGHT KIPO 2014서로 상이한 모달리티를 갖는 의료 영상들을 정합하는 방법 및 장치가 개시된다. 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 의료 영상 정합 방법은, 대상체의 제1 호흡 주기 동안 촬영된 복수개의 제1 의료 영상들 중의 기준 영상(reference image)을 제2 의료 영상과 정합하는 이종 영상 정합 단계； 상기 기준 영상과는 상이한 호흡 상태들에서 획득된 나머지 제1 의료 영상들을 각각 상기 기준 영상과 정합하는 동종 영상 정합 단계； 상기 이종 영상 정합과 상기 동종 영상 정합 결과를 이용하여 상기 제1 호흡 주기에 대한 상기 제1 의료 영상들과 상기 제2 의료 영상 간의 정합 영상들의 세트를 생성하는 단계； 및 상기 제1 호흡 주기 이후에 촬영되는 제3 의료 영상을 실시간으로 획득하고, 상기 제3 의료 영상에 대응하는 영상을 상기 정합 영상들의 세트로부터 검출하여 출력하는 단계를 포함한다.
