A paclitaxel/steroidal complex comprising paclitaxel and steroidal is disclosed. The molar ratio of paclitaxel to steroidal is 1: 0.2-4, preferably 1: 0.25-2. A process for the preparation thereof and the use thereof in the manufacture of submicron emulsion, dry emulsion, and self-submicron emulsifying formulation are also disclosed.
