PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which increases an absorption speed of a discharged body fluid and suppresses the occurrence of wet-back, and a method of manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: An absorbent article 10 in accordance with the invention includes: a liquid permeable surface sheet 14； a liquid impermeable rear surface sheet 12； and an absorber 13 arranged between the surface sheet 14 and the rear surface sheet 12. The absorbent article 10 includes a hydrophilicity different part 20 formed on the surface sheet 14 so that a level of hydrophilicity on a skin contact surface side of the surface sheet 14 is lower than that of a non-skin contact surface side of the surface sheet 14 and a high density part 21 which is provided in the hydrophilicity different part 20 and is configured that the density of the surface sheet 14 is higher than the periphery.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
