PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a urine absorbent pad capable of preventing liquid leakage from the pad and effectively utilizing the liquid-absorbing surface of a diaper used together with the pad.
SOLUTION: The urine absorbent pad 10 includes a front surface sheet 11, a rear surface sheet 12 and an absorber 13 disposed between the sheets 11 and 12 to be used together with a diaper. The front surface sheet 11 has a liquid-permeable nonwoven fabric including a hydrophilic agent. The rear surface sheet 12 has a poorly-permeable nonwoven fabric. When urine is excreted onto the front surface sheet 11, the hydrophilic agent is dissolved in the urine, and the urine with the dissolved hydrophilic agent reaches the rear surface sheet 12. Accordingly, liquid-permeability is added to the rear surface sheet 12.
