PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cause braking members to stably make contact with an annular braking element in the application of a braking force, in a fishing reel having a centrifugal brake-type anti-backlash device incorporated therein.SOLUTION: The fishing reel has an anti-backlash device 20 incorporated therein, the anti-backlash device 20 including a plurality of braking members 21 that rotate integrally with a spool shaft 5 fitted with a spool 5a rotatably supported against a reel body 1 and having a fishing line wound thereon, and an annular braking element 23 attached to the reel body 1, the anti-backlash device 20 imparting a braking force to the rotation of the spool 5a by bringing the braking members 21 into sliding contact with a braking surface 23a of the annular braking element 23. The braking member 21 has a hole formed in its center, and while a pin shaft 25 extending radially from a spool shaft 5 is passed through the hole, the braking member 21 is held in such a manner as to be movable along the pin shaft.
