PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a wheelchair from moving back even on an upslope.SOLUTION: The safety device for a wheel chair includes a rotating roller with a one-way clutch mounted thereon, which is attached to the outer periphery of a wheel so as to be brought into press contact with or separated from it.
