An ultrasound probe identification system includes a connection interface and a controller. The connection interface is coupled to an ultrasound probe and is used to acquire a receiving signal from the ultrasound probe. The controller is coupled to the connection interface and is used to generate a characteristic image according to the receiving signal, compare the characteristic image and a set of built-in images to generate a set of similarities with respect to to the set of built-in images, and identify the ultrasound probe according to the set of similarities.一種超音波探頭辨識系統，包含連接介面及控制器。連接介面耦接於超音波探頭，及用以從超音波探頭取得接收訊號。控制器耦接於連接介面，用以依據接收訊號產生特徵圖像，比較上述特徵圖像及一組內建圖像以產生相對上述組內建圖像的一組相似度，及依據該組相似度辨識超音波探頭。
